Police Bravery Awards
Every day, Police Officers around the country risk death or serious injury to protect the public, acting with incredible bravery in extremely difficult and dangerous situations. Despite this, many consider themselves to be ‘just doing their job’.
We recognise the importance of the work members of the Police Service do and are mindful of the challenges faced on a daily basis.
Feeling appreciated and valued is a key pillar of wellbeing and it is absolutely right to take time out to recognise the great work of the forces across the UK.
We were proud to support the Police Federation of England and Wales Bravery Awards for the ninth consecutive year and to continue our sponsorship of the Police Scotland and Scottish Police Federation Bravery Awards in 2017. Honouring Officers who have performed outstanding acts of bravery while on or off duty throughout the UK.
Police Charities & Memorials
Whilst realising the dangers of policing, no Officer expects to lose their life on duty. The many emotional and practical difficulties faced by bereaved families, when such tragedy occurs, can often be heightened by a feeling of complete isolation.
Care of Police Survivors, also known as C.O.P.S. is a registered Police charity dedicated to supporting families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty, helping them to rebuild their lives and making sure they remain very much part of the Police family.
Police Unity Tour
The UK Police Unity Tour raises money solely for the C.O.P.S. charity. Hundreds of Police Officers and Staff take part in the annual tour, cycling from the National Police Memorial in London to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire in memory of Officers who have fallen in the line of duty.
C.O.P.S. is a charity close to our hearts and our on-going commitment to providing support is important to all at Police Mutual.
UK Police Memorial
We're proud to support the funding of the new Police Memorial. To honour the fallen and pay tribute to the sacrifice of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation and our communities.
National Police Memorial Day
We're proud to make an annual donation to this very special event. Demonstrating support for relatives, friends and colleagues of fallen officers.
We want to help
We're always looking for ways in which we can help the Police Service deliver real benefits to the welfare of Police Officers and Staff. We know you have many ideas for wellbeing projects and we'd like to help you share them.
Through our funding activities we aim to:
Support the delivery of projects initiated from within the Service
Provide wellbeing resources within a Force
Ensure Police employees benefit from wellbeing initiatives
