Our award winning Force for Good community sponsorship initiative will run throughout February and is designed to support the wellbeing of local communities. During this month, we are inviting Serving and Retired Police Officers, Staff, Specials and their family members to nominate a project for funds of up to £1,000.
Good causes close to your heart could include providing tools for a community garden or equipment for a local youth group for example.
Last year we helped many projects, including a Community Coffee Morning who received a £300 grant. Serving Police Officer Gary Hall from West Midlands Police nominated Community Coffee Mornings, which was set up to bring lonely people from within the community together to chat, play games and have some neighbourly fun. Gary explains, “The Community Coffee Morning initiative is important in bringing people together and helping to combat loneliness. Police Mutual's Force for Good grant will make a big difference to the running and the future of the coffee club, who aim to put on even more activities for the locals over the summer months.”
There will only be this one opportunity this year to nominate a good cause so make sure you don’t miss out – apply before midnight on the 14 March.
