Community Wellbeing

A strong, healthy community is one where people look out for and work with each other. Loneliness and social isolation can have a devastating impact on wellbeing, not only for an individual but for society in general.

Serving and retired Police Officers and Staff play a key role in improving social wellbeing by connecting with communities, getting to know the people who live there and by building trust. Much of this valuable work is often done in a person’s own time, outside their day-to-day role and often goes unrecognised.

The benefits of being actively engaged in local projects are far reaching but the ultimate goal is to raise funds, provide practical support and improve the quality of life for all.

At Police Mutual, we’re proud to actively support a number of initiatives to help Officers and the wider Police family help our communities - making them better places to work and to live. Here are just some of the ways we support the Police and their involvement in the neighbourhoods they serve, with funding from the Police Mutual Foundation:
