Free prize draw following completion of a car and/or home insurance quote for a chance to win a prize (the “prize draw”) and entry into a grand prize draw to win £5,000 (the “Grand Prize Draw”) together (the “Prize Draw”).


  1. When entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “T&C’s”).
  2. The promoter of the Prize Draw is PMGI Limited, Alexandra House, Queen Street, Lichfield WS13 6QS (“Police Mutual”).



  1. Members of the general public are not eligible to enter the Prize Draw and any entries received will not be included in the Prize Draw. Only Officers, staff and their immediate family members are eligible. All persons entering the Prize Draw must be over the age of 18 years and residents of the UK. If a winner is found to be ineligible, we reserve the right to award the prize to another participant and to require the return of any prize already awarded.
  2. For the avoidance of doubt the Prize Draw is not open to employees or contractors of the Police Mutual group or their direct family members.
  3. Policy renewals insurance quotes and sales are not eligible into the Prize Draw.



  1. The Prize Draw will consist of 5 prize draws and 1 Grand Prize Draw.
  2. Each prize draw has a different Qualifying Period as set out below:

  1. The Grand Prize Draw will be drawn on 10 October 2018 from all completed qualifying entrants of a prize draw received 00.00 28 June – 23.59 4 October.
  2. Police Mutual reserves the right to disqualify late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, lost, illegible or invalid entries.


The Prize Draw

  1. There will be 15 prizes for each of the 5 Qualifying Periods, chosen at random from:
    • 4x Dashboard cameras
    • 20x £20 John Lewis vouchers
    • 3x £100 Red letter day vouchers
    • 2x 32gb iPads
    • 20x Travel guides
    • 4x Home security cameras
    • 17x £20 Pizza Express vouchers
    • 5x Hotel stays
  2. The Grand Prize Draw is five thousand pounds (£5,000).
  3. Entry to the Prize Draw is free; no purchase is necessary.
  4. During the corresponding Qualifying Period, participants will have a chance to win a prize in one of our 5 prize draws and a chance to win the Grand Prize Draw of five thousand pounds (£5,000).


How to Enter

  1. One entry into a prize draw upon completion of an eligible car insurance quote and one entry into a prize draw upon completion of an eligible home insurance quote.
  2. You will be automatically entered into a prize draw, according to the Qualifying Period in which you apply for your quote (see paragraph 7 for Qualifying Periods).
  3. All qualifying entrants into the prize draw will also be entered into the Grand Prize Draw.
  4. In the event that a home insurance quote or a car insurance quote is converted into a policy, qualifying entrants will be entered for a second time, into the Grand Prize Draw (i.e. a maximum of two entries per person for the Grand Prize Draw).
  5. To enter the Prize Draw, participants must fully complete a home or car insurance quote by either visiting or and complete the online quotation or via the phone.
  6. Entrants are requested to complete a car/home quote and to read and confirm they have understood the T&C’s.
  7. Entries must be made personally. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
  8. Information provided by participants in registering for this Prize Draw will be used in line with the Police Mutual group’s privacy policy. Your personal details will not be disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes and only used for the fulfilment of the prize.
  9. Entry into the Prize Draw may also be submitted by sending your name and contact details to: Police Mutual Summer Insurance Campaign, Brand Marketing, Alexandra House, Queen Street, Lichfield WS13 6QS by 3 October 2018.


Selection of Winners

  1. Winners will be drawn at random from all qualifying entrants in each Qualifying Period by midnight each day.
  2. There will be 15 winners for each prize draw and one winner for the Grand Prize Draw. The Grand Prize Draw is open to all entrants from each Qualifying Period.
  3. The winners of the Prize Draw will be chosen at random from all complete, eligible, properly submitted entries received before the end of the applicable Closing Date.
  4. The prize draw gifts may be subject to further terms and conditions which will be confirmed when the prize is awarded.
  5. The prizes are non-transferable and are allocated to the winners randomly.
  6. A participant may only win two (2) prizes. One (1) prize draw and one (1) grand prize during the Prize Draw. If a winner continues to enter the Prize Draw and is selected at random for a subsequent draw, the winner will not be awarded` the prize and the next qualifying entrants selected at random shall be the winner of that draw.
  7. The winners of the Prize Draw will be notified within 5 working days of the applicable Prize Draw Date (see paragraph 7 and paragraph 8).
  8. Prizes will be posted within 30 days from the applicable Prize Draw Date. There is no cash alternative to these prizes. In the event of a prize being unavailable Police Mutual reserve the right to supply an alternative prize without notice.
  9. The winner of the Grand Prize Draw of £5,000 will be notified by phone and a bank transfer will occur within 5 working days of the Grand Prize Draw date.
  10. We will contact the winners using the contact details we hold from the quotes they have requested.
  11. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Legal review is excluded.
  12. If a prize is declined or unclaimed by a selected winner, or if a selected winner cannot be contacted from the details supplied within 7 days of first attempting to notify a selected winner, the prize will be forfeited. In such circumstances, Police Mutual reserves the right to select another winner at random from the qualifying entrants who will be notified by Police Mutual in the same manner described in 24.



  1. The promotor shall not use any personal data for longer than is reasonably necessary to manage and promote this Prize Draw. This will include reasonable publicity in the legitimate interests of Police mutual, provided that such publicity does not infringe data protection rights. 
  2. Police Mutual accepts no responsibility if a product is defective, faulty, nor any disappointment caused as a result of this. Police Mutual is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any prizes. Police Mutual will not be responsible for any replacements or repair units. Nothing shall exclude Police Mutual’s liability for death or injury as a result of its negligence.
  3. Police Mutual reserves the right to provide the Prize Draw winners with a gift receipt of the prize should Police Mutual see it to be necessary. This will be after or accompanying the prize delivery. At this point Police Mutual has handed over all relevant documents relating to the Prize, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  4. Winners reserve the right to contact the manufacturer, in pursuance of any rights provided by consumer law.
  5. To request the names of the Prize Draw winners, please send a stamped addressed envelope to Police Mutual, Summer GI campaign prize draw, Brand Marketing, Alexandra House, Queen Street, Lichfield WS13 6QS by 31 October 2018. No other correspondence will be entered into.
  6. Police Mutual accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting any prize.
  7. Police Mutual reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).
  8. Police Mutual shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
  9. These T&C’s are governed by English law.
