Call Handler                                    

Lichfield, Staffs
c £14,000 - £16,000 dependent on experience + performance related bonus. Full time temporary role between 3 to 6 months.

Do you have excellent Customer Service skills? Would you like to play a key role in promoting the benefits of Police Mutual’s products and services to our members?  If so, we have an opportunity in the contact centre for a motivated individual who excels in building strong customer relationships.  
 
The Role

The role involves:

  •  Helping members to learn about, understand  and buy Police Mutual products and services
  •  Retaining and increasing members holdings by spotting opportunities to cross sell and raise product and eligibility awareness
  •  Promote and issue Regular Savings, Term Assurance, & Stakeholder pensions over the telephone 
  •  Helping members with a wide range of queries on their existing plans
  •  Increasing membership through relationship building & follow up on initial enquiries
  •  Producing accurate quotations & letters in response to members’ enquiries
  •  Telephone pre-completion of application forms when phone issuing is not possible
  •  Working in a regulated environment, to include complying with FSA regulations and meeting Training & Competence standards

 The Individual

You will need to demonstrate the following:

  •  Excellent communication skills
  •  Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service through telephone techniques
  •  A  basic knowledge of the Society's products & services with a willingness and ability to develop in depth knowledge 
  •  Experience in customer facing or contact centre environment an advantage
  •  Initiative to identify solutions for the benefit of the member
  •  Previous experience working within a regulated environment an advantage
  •  Flexibility to deal with a wide range of in-depth products & services
  •  Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  •  IT literacy, including good keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

The successful candidate will enjoy team working and the challenge of targets in return for a competitive salary and performance related pay.  The role deals with both inbound and outbound calls (although not cold calling).
