Implementing strategy
The Executive Team is made up of executive directors and
the most senior members of the management team. They are
responsible for the development and implementation of strategy,
operating and financial performance and the management of risk and
resource.
The Executive Team is accountable to both the Committee
of Management and the Managing Board.

Stephen Mann LLB APMI - Chief
Executive
A lawyer by background, Stephen originally
worked in the City specialising in corporate and financial services
before joining Norwich Union where he became Director of Legal
Services.
He subsequently became an Executive Director with responsibility
for Strategy and Business Services. Stephen joined Police Mutual as
Chief Executive in 2009. Stephen is also a member of the Board of
the Association of Financial Mutuals and the Alico UK Supervisory
Committee.

Ian Cordwell BA FCA - Finance
Director
Since qualifying as an accountant Ian has spent
most of his career in retail financial services, occupying various
Board roles with companies including M&S Financial Services and
LV Friendly Society.
Ian joined Police Mutual in 2010 as Finance Director to lead the
transformation of the finance and actuarial capabilities. He was
appointed to the Managing Board in 2010.

James Henderson - Commercial
Director
Before joining Police Mutual, James served in
HM Forces followed by eight years in a variety of management
positions at Standard Life. He joined Police Mutual in 2006 and was
appointed to the Managing Board as Sales and Marketing Director in
2008.
Following the Society's strategic review in
2009, James was appointed to the role of Commercial and
Distribution Director. He is also a member of the Chartered
Insurance Institute.

Pete Marr
MCMI - Operations & HR
Director
Pete has worked in the Insurance industry for over 15 years
within the areas of Operational Management, Customer Service and
Transformational Change - most notably with Independent Insurance
and Capita Insurance Services.
He joined Police Mutual in Jan 2010 as Divisional Head of
General Insurance and was appointed to the role of Operations
Director in April 2011. He is a member of the Chartered Management
Institute.

David
Wright BA MBA - Marketing Director
David gained a wealth of sales and marketing experience in the
consumer goods industry before joining Lloyds TSB as a Divisional
Director in 1997.
Following time as a management consultant, where he led a number
of marketing change programmes, David held a number of senior
management roles at Aviva plc. He joined Police Mutual as Marketing
Director in 2010.

Vicky Kubitscheck CFIIA CMIIA BSc (Hons) -
Chief Risk Officer
Vicky joined Police Mutual in 2010 with over 25
years experience in senior roles leading and managing the strategic
development of enterprise wide risk, compliance and assurance
functions in major financial services organisations such as AEGON
UK and AXA UK.
Her experience as an advisor extends to board
governance and risk management in FTSE 100 and other private
companies, and publishes writing in her areas of
specialism.

Rachel Kirwan -
Company Secretary
Rachel is a qualified Chartered Secretary and has been
Company Secretary at Police Mutual since 2000, having joined the
organisation in 1994 as an investment researcher. Rachel's
group responsibilities which are delivered on both an
in-sourced and out-sourced basis include corporate governance,
legal, internal audit, compliance and complaints.
