A network of volunteers
Our Authorised Officers (AOs) are a network of volunteers within
the Police Service who help and support Police Mutual. They are
fundamental to the way that we are run.
A number of the AOs sit on our Committee of Management
ensuring that the decisions Police Mutual take are made with the
members interests at heart.
The AO network distribute information about Police Mutual within
Forces around the UK on top of their normal Police duties. It's an
unpaid role for which they receive no commission or benefits.
Each Force has a Force Authorised Officer (FAO) who manages the
network of AOs within their force. The FAOs represent the views of
members and vote on their behalf at the Police Mutual
Conference.
We are really proud of the help and support that we receive from
our network of police volunteers.
